John Laesch met with the Northern Illinois University College Democrats on Sept. 11th. Laesch spoke with the NIU College Dems about the politics of fear and the politics of hope.
“The tragic events of 9/11 caused President Bush to engage in the politics of fear,” Laesch said. “Living in mistrust, fear and hate only creates more of the same. We have the power to engage in a new kind of politics, the politics of hope,” Laesch added.
On Monday, October 29, 2007, we filed almost 2,400 signatures with the State Board of Elections in Springfield, IL. Laesch for Congress as a whole would not exist without the energy, time, and passion of the committed people who helped collect signatures in Illinois’ 14th District. Thank you so much for your commitment to winning this election and putting our country back on track with a solid progressive message.
John Laesch spoke at the Carpenters Local 916 monthly meeting in Yorkville, IL on Wednesday, September 19th. John was well received by over 70 union members who listened intently as he described some of the economic issues facing the workers of the country.
