The VETPAC believes that veterans in Congress are more likely than non-veterans to maintain their support for sound foreign and national security policy and veteran’s rights and services in the heat of legislative give and take. We are confident that John Laesch is one such representative.
VETPAC is a Political Action Committee dedicated to educating candidates who preserve the values for which veterans have served, fought and died. VETPAC seeks to address issues of particular urgency for protecting the security and enhancing the democratic processes of the United States. As an alliance of veterans working with veterans, and of veterans working in alliance with the American people, VETPAC will endorse and support candidates for national office that support VETPAC’s principles of security and democracy. http://www.vetpac.org

Elgin, IL - The Progressive Democrats of America, 14th District Chapter held it’s first ever Chapter Endorsement Meeting, Sunday evening, December 16, 2007 at Nick’s Pizza in Elgin, IL. Under the newly released PDA National Congressional Endorsement Policy, the four democratic candidates were each invited to submit a questionnaire based on PDA’s five priority issues. PDA asks candidates to pledge to end the war in Iraq and redirect the funding toward social needs here in the U.S., support single-payer universal health care system, support economic justice (roll back tax breaks for the wealthy, support fair trade that protects workers’ rights and the environment, make it easier for workers to form unions and other policies to protect the middle class), clean fair transparent elections (ban touch screen voting without a paper trail), & end Global warming. http//pdaamerica.org

I would like to personally endorse John Laesch because John has spoken out for me on the most important issues facing Americans today.
He has been consistently courageous in speaking the hard truths that our so-called "leaders" have been unwilling to say.
I believe his intelligence and honesty are what we need, now.
A personʼs wealth should never be a factor in the quality of health care they receive. To often illness in a family will lead to employers cutting costs by removing the employee whose family member is driving up company health care premiums. This will leave a family, already burdened by a chronic illness, with little or no income and no insurance. Itʼs not the employers fault. In order to continue providing at least a minimal insurance plan to the other employees, those who need it the most must be sacrificed.
Unlike what the insurance industry would have you believe the cause of the healthcare crisis in this country isnʼt the result of trial layers. The real reason people are dieing and families are being destroyed is a direct result of insurance lobbyists bribing politicians with campaign contributions. Those are two of the reasons why Iʼve decided to vote for John Laesch. I believe John is the best chance the fourteenth district has in this election to help end the political bribery and bring about a single-payer healthcare system.
