I would like to personally endorse John Laesch because John has spoken out for me on the most important issues facing Americans today.

He has been consistently courageous in speaking the hard truths that our so-called "leaders" have been unwilling to say.

I believe his intelligence and honesty are what we need, now.

I strongly endorse John Laesch for Congress in the 14th District of Illinois. He has demonstrated his ability to represent Democrats and working families in this district through his prior campaign and long-time involvement in the community. He has clearly shown his command of all the pressing issues the nation and the district are facing and he has solid, caring and common sense solutions. There is no better message of change that we as citizens can send to the leadership in Washington, D.C. than to elect the only real and committed progressive Democrat in this race. I am voting twice for John Laesch for Congress in the February 5th primary.

I have listened closely to each of the Democratic candidates. I have read there campaign materials and I have visited their websites. Each candidate brings a unique life experience and qualities to their bid for Congress.

I am convinced that John Laesch has the broadest and deepest experience and would make the best Congressman for the 14th District of Illinois.

The Laesch for Congress Campaign is honored to announce that John Laesch has earned both the Illinois and national endorsements of the National Organization for Women.

“The National Organization for Women Political Action Committee is proud to endorse John Laesch, candidate for Congress in the 14th Congressional District. He has demonstrated a strong commitment to women’s rights and equality for all. Laesch’s commitment is exemplified by a diverse staff including women at every level of his campaign team working hard to elect him. We know that we can count on John to be a strong voice for women in Washington,”

A personʼs wealth should never be a factor in the quality of health care they receive. To often illness in a family will lead to employers cutting costs by removing the employee whose family member is driving up company health care premiums. This will leave a family, already burdened by a chronic illness, with little or no income and no insurance. Itʼs not the employers fault. In order to continue providing at least a minimal insurance plan to the other employees, those who need it the most must be sacrificed.

Unlike what the insurance industry would have you believe the cause of the healthcare crisis in this country isnʼt the result of trial layers. The real reason people are dieing and families are being destroyed is a direct result of insurance lobbyists bribing politicians with campaign contributions. Those are two of the reasons why Iʼve decided to vote for John Laesch. I believe John is the best chance the fourteenth district has in this election to help end the political bribery and bring about a single-payer healthcare system.

"John Laesch will be a strong voice for the veterans, consumers, and taxpayers of Illinois and across the nation."

From the Mayor:

"The Presidential campaigning is heating up. What we hear over and over on that campaign trail is that people in this country want change. You don’t get change by voting for the candidates with the most money or the ones who just repeat a party platform.

You get change by voting for someone who represents the people, and that’s why I am endorsing John Laesch for the now vacant 14th Congressional seat.

John lives in Yorkville. He’s a part of our community. He knows about the problems we are having getting Rt. 47 widened because he drives up and down that highway, just like we do. He knows Kendall County is facing growth issues and that our schools are overcrowded.

A carpenter by trade, John’s someone who knows what its like to live on a budget. He understands we can’t squander our money and we can’t squander our resources anymore.

My daughter is serving with the Army in Iraq. I know that John would not have voted to let our soldiers go into war without the proper body armor or let them be gipped on benefits because not only is he a vet himself, but he has friends and neighbors who are vets. He’s not going to let them down.

It’s time to put aside all the nastiness and fear, and the divisiveness and get behind a candidate who will put his constituents first. John Laesch is that candidate. If you want change, forget party labels and all the campaign rhetoric.

Vote for the man who will bring that change. Join me in voting for John Laesch."

Mayor Valerie Burd, Yorkville
